Lichtriegel is 544 meter high peak and is part of the Vienna Woods. The peak is located 2 km northeast from the center of Klausen-Leopoldsdorf and 5 km southeast from the center of Hochstraß. The nearest mountain hut is Falkensteiner Hütte, located 7km west-northwest. Closer is Rohrhütte, which is located 6km to the north. The peak is located north of the valley Triestingtal.
