The peak is located 4 km southeast from the center of Schmieden - Ferrara and 5 km south from the center of Niederdorf - Villabassa. The nearest mountain hut is Dürrensteinhütte - Rifugio di Vallandro, located 6km south-southeast. A little further is Malga Rossalm. The peak is located west-northwest of the valley Höhlensteintal - Val di Landro.
