Moderberg is 856 meter high peak. The peak is located 1.3 km west-southwest from the center of Klein-Siegharts and 2 km west-northwest from the center of Wachtberg. The nearest mountain hut is Schutzhütte Peilstein, located 18km south-southeast. A bit closer is bivouac Hundeterrasse, which is located 3km to the northwest. The peak is located northwest of the valley Schwarzaugraben.
