Monte Costa is 288 meter high peak. The peak is located 2 km west from the center of Pontecchio Marconi and 3 km east-northeast from the center of Mongardino. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Salvaro, located 16km south-southwest. A bit closer is bivouac Pontecchio Posta, which is located 2km to the east. The peak is located south of the lake Lago di Preda.
