Monte Tonale Occidentale is 2694 meter high peak in the Ortler Alps. The peak is located 10 km west from the center of Vermiglio and 11 km southwest from the center of Peio Fonti. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Malga Valbiolo, located 1.6km east. And bivouac Capanna Lagoscuro is also close by. 8 km southeast from the summit there is glacier Vedretta Cercen. The peak is located south-southwest of the valley Val Montozzo.
