Penzenstein is 550 meter high peakon which a cross stands. The peak is located 0.8 km northeast from the center of Engelszell and 0.8 km east from the center of Engelhartszell. The nearest mountain hut is Öttl-Hütte, located 1.6km north-northwest. A little closer is bivouac Engelhartszell Berndoblstraße, which is located 1.0km to the west-southwest. Southeast of the summit is the valley Schlögener Schlinge.
