Pfenningberg is 616 meter high peakon which a cross stands. The peak is located 1.8 km southeast from the center of Plesching and 3 km north-northwest from the center of Steyregg. The nearest mountain hut is Dr. Alexander Brenner Haus, located 11km northwest. Closer is bivouac Hafen, which is located 3km to the west. 5 km south of the peak there is lake Großer Weikerlsee. The peak is located southeast of the valley Haselgraben.
