Description:
Plattenkogel is 1176 meter high peak in the Salzkammergut Mountains. The peak is located 1.7 km east of peak Katrin. The nearest mountain hut is Hoisnradalm, located 4km east. A bit closer is bivouac Kaltenbach Katrinseilbahn, which is located 1.4km to the north-northeast. East-northeast of the summit is the valley Rettenbachtal.
