The peak is located 2 km east-southeast from the center of Kößlbach and 3 km southeast from the center of Mitterweißenbach. The nearest mountain hut is Hoisnradalm, located 5km south-southwest. A bit closer is Bärenmoosjagdhütte, which is located 1.4km to the south. The peak is located southeast of the valley Weißenbachtal. The peak is located on the ridge Schrottkamm.
