The peak is located in country Austria 4 km east from the center of Oberwang and 4 km west-southwest from the center of Nußdorf am Attersee. The nearest mountain hut is Buchberghütte, located 9km south-southwest. A bit closer is bivouac Nußdorf Ortsmitte, which is located 3km to the east-northeast. The peak is located north-northeast of the valley Klausbach.
