Rotkogel is 1585 meter high peak in the mountain group Totes Gebirge. The peak is located 6 km east-southeast from the center of Kößlbach and 6 km east-southeast from the center of Mitterweißenbach. The nearest mountain hut is Ischler Hütte, located 3km southeast. Closer is Hinteralm (Schönalm), which is located 0.5km to the south-southeast. The peak is located north of the valley Rettenbachtal.
