Šapkov vrh is 990 meter high peak located in the Karawanks mountain range. The peak is located 2 km northeast from the center of Šentanel and 3 km east-southeast from the center of Weißenstein. The nearest mountain hut is Smučarska koča, located 10km south-southeast. A bit closer is Alte Zollhütte, which is located 4km to the northwest. Southwest of the summit is the valley Logarska dolina.
