Šavnik

Description:
Šavnik is 1574 meter high peak located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The peak to which the marked trail leads is located 3 km south from the center of Nemški Rovt and 3 km north-northeast from the center of Podbrdo. The nearest mountain hut is Litostrojska koča, located 1.8km east. Even closer is bivouac Ovčarski stan, which is located 1.0km to the east-southeast. The peak is located jugo-jugozahodno above the mountain pasture Planina za Šavnikom. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Baška grapa and jugo-jugozahodno above the mountain pasture Planina za Šavnikom.
