Schanzkogel is 442 meter high peak and is part of the Vienna Woods. The peak is located in country Austria 2 km southwest of peak Eichberg. The nearest mountain hut is Höllensteinhaus, located 2km north-northwest. Closer is Jagdhütte, which is located 1.9km to the north-northeast. South-southeast of the summit is the valley Einödgraben.
