Schauersberg is 768 meter high peak and is part of the Ybbstal Alps. The peak is located 4 km east-southeast of peak Ennsberg. The nearest mountain hut is Stallburgalm, located 6km west-northwest. Closer is Schwarzkogelhütte Jhtt., which is located 0.4km to the southeast. South-southeast of the summit is the valley Frenzgraben.
