Schrapfberg is 740 meter high peak and is part of the Lavanttal Alps. The peak is located 1.7 km east-southeast from the center of Piberegg and 1.9 km southeast from the center of Afling. The nearest mountain hut is Kollmanngraben-Hütte, located 11km northeast. A little further is bivouac Ottohütte. 7 km southwest of the peak there is lake Pibersteinersee.
