Schwarzkogel is 615 meter high peak located in the Karawanks mountain range. The peak is located 4 km north-northeast of peak Kanzianiberg. The nearest mountain hut is Bertahütte, located 8km southeast. A bit closer is Mitzl-Moitzl Hütte, which is located 6km to the south. The peak is located east of the valley Unteres Gailtal.
