Šimnovec is 1402 meter high peak located in the Kamnik Savinja Alps mountain range. The peak is located 5 km south of peak Vršiči. The nearest mountain hut is Kraljev hrib, located 1.4km west. hunting cottage Lovska koča is also relatively close. North-northeast of the summit is the valley Robanov kot.
