Sohlenkogel is 1474 meter high peak and is part of the Mürzsteg Alps. The peak is located 2.0 km east-southeast of peak Wetterin. The nearest mountain hut is Wetterinalm Sennhütte, located 0.9km north-northwest. Hansi's Huette is also relatively close. The peak is located west of the valley Innerer Krampengraben.
