Špile is 1020 meter high peak. The peak is located 1.5 km east-southeast from the center of Kanalski Lom and 2 km west-southwest from the center of Slap ob Idrijci. The nearest mountain hut is Lovska koča LD Planota, located 6km east-northeast. A little further is Lovski dom Čepovan. The peak is located northwest of the valley Čepovanski dol.
