Veliki vth is 622 meter high peak. The peak is located 0.8 km west from the center of Veliki Vrh pri Litiji and 2 km west-southwest from the center of Podšentjur. The nearest mountain hut is Dom na Jančah, located 6km west-southwest. A bit closer is Balonarji, which is located 3km to the east-northeast. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Ljubljansko barje.
