Description:
Weinkogel is 1181 meter high peakon which a cross stands and is part of the Salzkammergut Mountains. The peak is located 2.0 km south-southwest from the center of Oberburgau and 4 km west-southwest from the center of Unterach and 1.5 km north-northeast of peak Schafberg. The nearest mountain hut is Kienbergerhütte, located 0.8km east-northeast. Jagdhütte Plankenmoos is also relatively close. 6 km northwest of the peak there is lake Mondsee.
