Description:
Westlicher Salzachgeier is 2469 meter high peak and is part of the Kitzbühel Alps. The peak is located 5 km north-northwest from the center of Königsleiten and 9 km northeast from the center of Gerlos. The nearest mountain hut is Neue Bamberger Hütte, located 4km east-northeast. A bit closer is bivouac Gämsehütte, which is located 3km to the south-southwest. The peak is located southeast of the valley Langer Grund.
