Winterkopf is 1234 meter high peak and is part of the Kaiser Mountains. The peak is located 3 km south-southeast from the center of Kufstein and 4 km east-northeast from the center of Schwoich. The nearest mountain hut is Aschenbrenner, located 1.6km northeast. bivouac Schwoich Bäckerei Schellhorn is also relatively close. 3 km southeast of the peak there is lake Hintersteiner See.
