The peak is located 3 km east-southeast from the center of Damüls and 3 km north-northeast from the center of Fontanella. The nearest mountain hut is Franz-Josef-Hütte, located 3km west. bivouac Untere Buchen is a bit further away. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Great Walser Valley.
