Zinkenkogel is 1280 meter high peak and is part of the Ybbstal Alps. The peak is located 2 km west-northwest from the center of Sankt Georgen am Reith and 3 km north from the center of Königsbergau. The nearest mountain hut is Siebenhütte, located 6km south-southeast. Closer is Zinkenhütte (Jhtt.), which is located 0.3km to the west. The peak is located south-southwest of the valley Prolling.
