Description:
Karnica (Sella Carnizza) is a mountain pass at an altitude of 1086 meters in the Julian Alps and connects the Resia Valley with the Učja Valley. On the pass there is also the chapel Cappella di Šlimanciaza with a painting of Saint Anthony of Padua with the baby Jesus. The pass is located in Italy 4 km east-southeast of the summit Monte Cuzzer. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Pian dei Ciclamini, located 3 km south. A bit further is the bivouac Bivacco Dino Brollo. East-northeast of the saddle is the Krnica Valley and a marked trail leads to the saddle.
