The waterfall is located 4 km south-southwest from the center of Lunz am See and 6 km east from the center of Kogelsbach. The nearest peak is Großkopf, which is located 1.4km vzhodno-jugovzhodnoThe nearest mountain hut is Ybbstaler Hütte, located 3km south-southeast. A little further is bivouac Lunz am See Schulen.
