Bakoca - Hollófészek (pot modri plus)

Access to starting point:
a) We enter Hungary via the border crossing Terezino Polje / Barcs and drive towards Pečuh (Pécs). When we reach the town Szentlőrinc, at the traffic light we turn left towards the settlements Oroszló and Bükkösd. We continue for about another 15 kilometers until we see the turnoff for the settlement Mindszentgodisa. We drive through the village to the settlement Bakóca, where we park the vehicle in a suitable place (best at the bus turning area at the end of the village).
b) It is also possible to reach Hungary via the crossing Pince / Tornyiszentmiklós. We leave the motorway at Velika Kanizsa (Nagykanizsa) and continue to Kaposvár. From Kaposvár at the roundabout at the end of the town bypass we turn towards Pečuh. We drive to the settlement Oroszló, where we turn right towards the town Szentlőrinc. Shortly after we also leave this road with a right turn towards the settlement Mindszentgodisa, from where we continue the route according to the description above. This route is faster but orientationally more demanding.

Route description:
From the bus turning area in the settlement Bakóca we head uphill along Béke út street. On the electricity poles we soon notice blue plus markings that will accompany us for most of the route. The street quickly turns into a forest path, along which we leave the settlement.
The path initially ascends gently and leads us to the entrance to the forest. In this section the markings are scattered quite sparsely. After a few minutes of walking we reach a junction, where we turn left, and immediately after at the next junction we turn left again, with directional arrows helping us.
The path continues along a narrower forest track, but only for a few minutes, as we again reach a wider road. We continue forward in a gentle ascent along the road that leads through the forest. After further walking we reach a junction, where the path from the village Horváthertelend joins us. Here we turn left (to the right it is only 5 minutes walk to the hunting lodge).
Soon we reach a clearing with a hunting stand, and in the distance above the forest we already see our goal – the viewing tower. The path across the clearing begins to ascend somewhat more steeply. We quickly reach the next junction, where we turn left and after a few steps arrive at the viewpoint. Despite the low elevation, the view from it is exceptional and reaches very far.
