Access to starting point:
We leave the Zagreb–Lipovac motorway at the Novska exit (slightly longer in time, but faster route) or at the Okučani exit (shorter in distance, but poorer road) and continue driving to Lipik. From Lipik, we drive to the neighbouring Pakrac, from where we continue towards Daruvar, but only to the settlement of Badljevina, where at the roundabout we turn towards Sirač.
In Sirač, we turn right across the railway track into the settlement and drive on to the large quarry at the end of the place. When we arrive at the Kufner Građa company, we turn left over the small bridge towards the Pakrani settlement, then at the first next junction turn slightly right onto the unpaved track. The track takes us to the Bijela settlement, where we return to asphalt. We continue straight and soon arrive in the village of Donji Borki. In the upper part of the village, we park in a suitable place, preferably next to the house a little further along from the spring.
Route description:
Wherever we park in the village of Donji Borki, we quickly notice an arrow that directs us from the main road through the settlement into the forest. At the edge of the forest we reach a fence, where we turn left. Already after a minute we reach the next junction, which is unmarked. Here we continue straight, although the right direction seems more logical.
After less than a hundred metres we reach the next junction, where we turn sharply right. On this section the markers are sparsely placed and were quite faded at the time the description was made. The path then takes us into the forest, where it begins to descend gently. The descent lasts a few dozen minutes until we reach the lowest point, where we cross a stream. This is followed by an exit onto a meadow, where there are no markers again. Here too it seems we need to turn right, but the correct direction leads straight back into the forest.
In the forest we immediately reach the main attraction – a small bridge over the Stančevac stream. After crossing, we continue right along the stream downhill, but already after a minute we finally begin to ascend along a forest track.
Now follows another extremely poorly marked junction. The marker first directs us right onto a forest logging trail, but it is recommended to stay on the track. This later turns right to a junction, where the main direction goes straight, but we must turn left uphill onto a somewhat overgrown path. Markers reappear on this section.
We leave the overgrown track to the left after a minute (here the marker is overgrown) and after another two minutes step out of the forest. In the continuation, we will walk for about fifteen minutes under the power line. The markers are extremely rare here, but the direction is traceable.
On one of the poles we will notice a marker and an arrow that direct us right onto a track. This takes us into the forest and levels out. When it begins to descend gently, we reach a junction where we join a well-maintained road. After two bends we leave the road to the left over a small bridge and after a minute reach the rest area by the mountain hut under Petrov vrh.
From the rest area we continue for another approximately ten minutes, first gently, then increasingly steeply to the summit itself.
Petrov vrh is located in the forest, so the view from it is very limited. A nice view to the south opens only at the mountain hut.
When the description was being made (year 2026), this path was quite overgrown in places and very poorly marked. After rain, the ground is distinctly muddy and slippery.
