Čabar - Izvir Čabranke

Access to starting point:
Via the Babno Polje border crossing we drive into Croatia, then follow the signs for Čabar. As we approach the town we turn left off the main road following the signs for »Dvorac Zrinskih« and park in one of the parking areas in the town centre – preferably at the start of the path towards the Izvir Čabranke spring.

Route description:
From the place where we parked we follow the signs for the Izvir Čabranke spring. The path first leads along Petra Zrinskog street, where after a few minutes of walking we reach the fish farm (Ribogojilište Urh), and a little further to the holiday house (Villa Izvor Čabranke). Just beyond the house the path splits. The right branch leads directly to a spot from where there is a fine view of the spring on the Croatian side, from where it is also possible to continue to the spring on the Slovenian side a few minutes away. If we choose the left path it takes us to the famous Most ljubezni, which spans right above the spring.
