Hello,
My girlfriend and I are heading to the Italian Julian Alps and advice from hikers who've already done this route would be great for planning.
I plan 8-10 hours of walking daily.
Wondering if the planned daily stages fit time-wise?
How does booking accommodation at Italian huts work?
What was the route like for you, highlights, dangers, ...?
Which route to Montaž do you recommend?

Planned route:
1. DAY ... Start from Jezerska dolina to Rif. Bruner, then along the centenary path through the tunnel to Rif. Corsi. If time allows, also to Viš and back to Rif. Corsi, overnight there.

2. DAY ... Rif. Corsi - Špik nad špranjo - Špik nad nosom - Špik hude police - Rif. Brazza

3. DAY ... Rif. Brazza - Montaž - Rif. Grego

4. DAY ... Rif. Grego - Poldašnja špica - Ovčja vas (Valbruna)

I'm heading out on a multi-day trip to the Julian Alps and would like advice on routes, which path to take to individual peaks, also interested in where to make stops, i.e. where it's possible to overnight and the interesting features of the route itself.
I'd like to start from the hut at Savica waterfall, not necessarily, go via Lepo špičje, Kanjavec, Triglav, Škrlatica, Špik, if there's any other interesting ascent on this route, recommend it.
I'd hike about 8 to 10 hours daily.

Thanks for the opinion. If 5 days of good weather are forecasted in a row, I'll probably do that. If shorter periods, then I'll go for several shorter ones with some stop in the valley. What is the path from Prisojnik towards Triglav like?

Does this work all the way? Any advice or recommendation, correction welcome.

1. day Vršič – Jalovec … (over jalovško škrbino) Jalovec-Vršič … (past shelter below Špičko)
2. day Vršič – Prisojnik … (grebenska pot); Prisojnik – Vršič … (Slovenska pot)
3. day dolina Vrata (Aljažev dom) – Škrlatica – dolina Vrata
4. day dolina Vrata (Aljažev dom) – Triglav (dom na Kredarci)… (Tominškova pot)
5. day Triglav (dom na Kredarci) – Kanjavec – Prehodavci (Zasavska koča)
6. day Prehodavci (Zasavska koča) – Lepo špičje – Bohinj

It's not necessary that the final station is the same as the starting point.
Yeah, the weather is a bit tricky, but I hope it will settle and there will be at least three or four days of good weather in a row, otherwise you can wait a day at the hut, I've always found some nice company there.
