Maja, thanks for detailed answer. I completely agree with your writing. Sadly, only on terrain you see if you decided right. You need some experience and feel of various boots for that. Yesterday at home I did small inventory and found another same Planika boots from father, but he doesn't need them. Same model I had before they failed me. So probably wait with purchase or wear these.

So, I was at Alpina and Pekot, where they had Planika. Alpina boots kinda didn't fit me or pinched me. Then tried Planika, first the Mangart AVS model, which fit the foot well, but the stiffness maybe bothered me a bit, as I'm not used to it. Then tried the Trenta model too, really soft and nice on the foot. I mostly hike hills, so Trenta seems most suitable. But I'm drawn to mountains too (in summer I want to go to Triglav and other peaks), so which is better, Mangart. Definitely more walking on various hills.... What would you recommend in my case?

Thanks. I completely overlooked it. Today I'm going to Alpina and Borovo.

That's clear to me, it's hard to recommend a specific brand. I'm interested in which are those brands worth looking at. That make quality, comfortable and durable boots? I'm interested where to find a store with Planika boots? I had my Planika boots for over ten years, so I'm really impressed with the quality, but sadly I don't know if they kept it.

Lately I'm getting more into hiking and sadly my excellent Planika hiking boots started falling apart at the sole, as they already have over ten years on their back. So now I'm looking for something new. My terrain is mostly hills and lower mountains. It would be great if the boot is suitable for some serious tour, say Triglav. Of course in summer. What brands do you recommend? I know I have to go to the store and seriously test the boot before buying.
