The guy from Cerknica (who was the only one with a shovel and saved the day) nicely advised us: When the first snow falls, shovel in the car and don't take it out until spring..

Road from Lož to Sviščaki impassable 5km before Sviščaki due to snow. To Sviščaki best from Ilirska Bistrica or park 5km before and continue on foot. If no shovel, don't try unplowed snow patch. Won't go... checked
