In such cases can't stay quiet. Little dog is mine, almost 11 years old, in very good shape. Goes to mountains since small and used to more demanding terrain. Just because of that and especially in winter conditions I never tie her, except if some slightly harder via ferrata when I have to hold her a bit. In winter conditions it could be dangerous for owner if tied. She was already on more than 50 two-thousanders of which more than half in Austria and Italy!

We were the ones in picture 7. Recommended 10-12m rope, so you can safely descend to the start of the ferrata. Also some crampons are handy for crossing the hard snow patch, which will surely last until the next snow...
