This is conditions list... debate level under Spodnji Plot, for Polna Peč stupidity of old beloved forum guy... waiting for current conditions...

Hi,

I have tried many variants myself, from real Bigfoot to classic "ski blades" which are 99 cm long in combination with normal and touring boots, as well as with boots for automatic crampons. Absolutely best combo are touring boots and ski blades (99cm), if looking at ratio of walking comfort to skiing quality. In good snow conditions you ski professor-style with this combo, both open and forest. With boots skiing is really just so-so...didn't convince me, especially since nowadays you get such light and comfy touring boots...best, Marko

I knew exactly what I was missing...I was up there only at eleven...thanks for the nice pics

Technology is nowadays really cheap and accessible, so it's easy to do as turbo said... I wonder why not yet, since some coins are collected from parking fees. But... when you see this crowd in Slovenian mountains, sometimes it seems measures like... limited daily Triglav visits with prior registration... online reservation of parking spot at Blato... entrance fee to TNP (like Venice)... traffic lights on Soča (like traffic light at top of toboggan)... are not exactly rocket science..

hey..hikers...a bit for fun...this "barrier" at Blato has really led to it grabbing you into the "mud"..everyone contributed a little, together we saved up for about a liter of Donat...anyway, best that we all go to Blato together once, those who go on foot from Janez, everyone who goes up by car owes him a beer...and up there we arrange everything, best regards to all

Once something is done, we accept it and all gladly use it, even if back then they'd built a lift to Kredarica and ski slopes around, today we'd all nicely accept it, but we can still be extremely glad that there's no asphalt pulled to every hill and we don't walk under cable car ropes like in many places in Dolomites. Ehh, nothing ever suits us.

Tinky, they are a good 200m, but hey, no big deal in that. Panda... so what, enjoy 2 more hours... It's really funny... that the debate is about money... sirt... I agree... on average we are all much richer... we just have more goods available and think we need them urgently... anyway I know a mountaineer with a 50,000 euro car... but only grumbles how to avoid parking fees and complains how expensive everything is in the huts...

Nobody complains about Tamar anymore that the road is closed; the valley has gained, crowds of hikers and cyclists enjoy without swallowing dust.

I can't help but agree with you. Just hinting that alternative mobility ways from theory and talk could be put into practice. For you it would be the same if you park in the valley, then a safe stress-free van brings you, even stimulating; for a bit less price than they now demand for road use. And feeling around pasture more primal when you count more cows than steel "ponies". True...due to our nature we will use it only when access really banned...or extremely expensive..probably sadly so.

If money flows to municipal budgets spent on salaries of big apparatus and self-serving projects, then high taxes parking etc seem very dubious to me. But need to curb this pleb rush high into mountains. Wild "camping" in cars also dubious. Must ask...what if all did it...where would we end...Finally...with right idea nature without plebs full wallet...Don't know...where Bohinj Kranjska Gora etc invest collected money, trumpet solutions for years...changes microscopic..True we hard to give up our "door to door" comfort...most hard even 10 min wait for bus to trailhead..need to last ramp...

Hello, overall it's less demanding from the Rabelj side, on the common part there's just one short spot, which is more of a diversion than a difficulty. In short, nothing special, also for less experienced hikers.

Yes, Jelovčnik. If you go through Mačkov graben to Grmada or Tošč, you pass by. Really has a phenomenal location. Well, this one was localnasmeh
Marko Torelli16. 10. 2017 13:36:52
No, quite a bit lower and far away
Marko Torelli16. 10. 2017 13:28:39
Well, up to Tilment or to Piave it's still all local. Here's a local one, right from the homestead. Name and location of the homestead?
