We're going at the end of July on vacation to Dolomites. We've been hiking there for several years. Sometimes with campervan, now we take a room for a couple of days at different locations. We've hiked and climbed quite some mountains there. (Marmolada,Sas Rigais, Sasongher,Sassopiatto,Monte Paterno,Tofana di Rozes,Piz Boe,Cima della Vezana,Latemar,Roda di Vael,Catinaccio,Dente di Terrarossa....)

Nice trip from Podbrdo to Črna prst. Overnight in the hut, next day to Bohinjska Bistrica, pool bathing and train back to Podbrdo. It's a bit more elevation but doable slowly. The trip would cover everything: train, hut overnight and dip in water.
