Hello, I would like to go to Triglav in one day. Since I've never been there and don't know the route, I think I won't manage alone in one day. I'm interested if I could join someone going to Triglav in one day or if someone would be my guide for payment? Start would be early morning. I'm from eastern Slovenia. If someone responds, write to me in PM or below. Thanks in advance!

True, thanks again. I know the path by heart now. Reason I asked more is to inform myself better what I see left, right, front, back. So bring home something else besides views. Not only that, there's wonderful peak nearby and don't know its name. Just for that extra asking. mežikanje Thanks all!

taubi4, can you explain why? Maybe I don't know maps? Maybe I just want to know what's on which side and that's why I'm looking for more data? I don't want my hike to be just some walking into the unknown. I want to know what's on which side, what hut I'm passing by and why it's there etc. That's why I'm seeking all this info. Anyway it's fine. There are people who helped more than enough.

Thanks to both. I set it to relief, it's better and I found it. It shows nicely. mežikanje

Thanks. I looked at that, but can't find my way from it. If I click Planika it draws the path somewhere else, not towards Krma nasmeh

If I can't find my way from this. Google maps leads me on some strange path. Google maps shows me arriving at Triglav from the north side, which is impossible. Just visually (by eye) if someone draws lines for me. nasmeh I'd kindly ask. I know I'm overcomplicating, because there are markings anyway, but obviously I need to know this to orient better. Thanks!

I don't know if anyone would be so good to mark approximately on this photo the paths Krma-Planika-Triglav and Krma-Kredarica-Triglav. Probably won't go alone and would leave one hiker at Kredarica. Could someone e.g. in Paint or somehow else mark approximately the path? Just so I can see it visually? From this relief I really can't imagine. Thanks!

Thanks a lot! I appreciate every reply, opinions, advice and especially warnings. Also the kind wishes. I believe it'll be beautiful! Today I planned to go but I didn't have all the stuff I plan to take yet. So now the trip is off a bit due to weather and other things, but as soon as I sort things out I'll report back. Of course with pics. mežikanje Be well everyone and safe in the mountains and elsewhere.

You guys are great, thanks iUnknown, great instructions! If it doesn't work on the road I'll just leave it somewhere earlier, no problem. Thanks! mežikanje

Does anyone have coordinates for that starting point? velik nasmeh Thanks, garmont, true, as I read the path isn't that hard at all. Physical and mental readiness are key, of which I have plenty hehe.
jastreb2819. 07. 2018 19:10:50
Thanks nenap. It'll be fine without, it probably won't be a problem for me and I think most go without those protections. The only tricky part is meeting oncoming hikers.

I'm wondering if the parking at Krma is reachable with a slightly lower car or if the terrain is too uneven and I'll have to leave the car earlier? It's supposed to be macadam, that'd be ok if there aren't potholes galore. Does anyone know about this? Thanks!

From what I've read and seen in pictures I can tackle this ascent solo or without company.

Thanks everyone! nteam, fitness surely won't be a problem. So Krma-Planika-Triglav. On weather we're on the same page. Rain wouldn't be a problem anyway, lightning could be more tricky. velik nasmeh

dprapr, regarding SVK... I don't need it. I read somewhere there's a route to Triglav where you walk on wire for a while and there's a drop below. There SVK would probably be needed, because you never know what can happen. I doubt the Krma-Planika-Triglav route has that wire anywhere. Whether the info about walking on wire is true, I don't know, because you read all sorts on the net.

iUnknown, fitness doesn't worry me. I'm skinny but endurance and fitness are great, so no need to adjust pace for me. And yes, great info about early start, that's my thing. If you plan something and I could join, I'd kindly ask you to message me a day before in PM, so we can arrange. Thanks in advance.

Thanks everyone for the help.

simon79, you're great, thanks for the opinion! For me it's important that you can get there in one day. I think I read about this route. What you wrote seems great to me. I'll check the net for this route too. If it's easier, even better, and if there's less crowd there, even better. Thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone once again!

Is the self-belay kit necessary? I think I don't need it.

dprapr, thanks. I'll study the map to see how and what. Fitness doesn't worry me at all. As I read, definitely the Krma-Triglav route mežikanje Thanks everyone for all the help!mežikanje

OK, one more question. I looked at GPS files on this site. Could I navigate by GPS files? nasmeh

One more question. If I go alone starting from Krma-Kredarica then Triglav. Can I manage this alone? Are the marked paths well signposted? Thanks!
