Matej_K., yesterday I needed crampons again. With my combination the chain is 3-4 cm over the leather on the front part of the boot. The damage is greatest there. The sliding of the leather continued, but not as bad as the first time...

How much the chain overhangs probably depends on the combination of crampon and boot size. My boots are size 45, crampons Veriga Lesce Mount Track XL (45-48). And you have to tension the rubber insanely to get them on at all.

As I say, the boots are super for me to wear. But I don't like that they get more destroyed with every hike. I don't consider myself clumsy and I take care, but with these it seems I have no luck. The chain reaches a bit over the black rubber in front. On one boot it even tore it a bit mrk pogled. That the chain goes over the black rubber didn't please me from the start, but there is no other option. Next time I'll be more careful with the mounting, and see where the trick is.mežikanje

I have Alpina Nepal boots. From the wearing perspective they are OK for me. I'm interested in the leather durability. Already on the first wear I cut them on a sharp rock. The cut is about 2 cm long and quite deep. Yesterday I wore them with mini crampons Veriga Lesce. On all parts where the chain and rubber gripped the leather they are heavily damaged. Like brushed with sandpaper. Are these boots even suitable for crampons? Barely worn a few times they look like 20 years oldzmeden
