Hi,
was anyone at Vršič today from the direction of Kranjska Gora? What does this partial closure look like, is there a lot of waiting? Tomorrow we want to go to Prisojnik, but we don't know what to expect from traffic and road conditions. Does anyone have any useful information? Thanks! Safe steps.

Yesterday they posted on PD Kranj news that the path will be closed from 1.7. to 3.7. due to renovation. Fingers crossed it won't be bad weather like last year. This whole thing is getting a bit annoying over the years

The path wasn't abandoned, but closed since 2018. All info on PZS. They will start renovating it next weekend, so it will be renovated by September if there is no bad weather.

the new route will be open by the end of the month, but it won't be as demanding as Gonžarjeva or Spodnji plot. If you look closely at the picture posted by bongo, you'll see that they've left pegs stuck in the middle of the route, which they'll drill further. I met the route makers on Thursday and they explained that it will be harder than Hvadnik or Grančišče because the pegs will be further apart, which is excellent. Well, they probably don't want an E difficulty ferrata either, because rescuers would have even more work, and locals probably wouldn't like hearing the noise too much. The only thing that might be annoying, but it depends on the rock itself, how exactly it goes on it, because it goes right next to the Jerman waterfall to Srednji vrh. It will be an excellent addition to the Hvadnik ferrata, when you finish it, about 10 minutes descent and then to the top, then along the same path to the exit behind Gozd Martuljek.
