Last Sunday we were in Vrata and the snow is still lying very low around 1050 m.a.s.l. The keeper of Aljažev dom said that this year snow under Triglav won't run out for a long time.

One more suggestion. Mencingerjev dom above Bohinj - Orožnova koča on planina za Liscem (45min) - Črna Prst (2h) - Planina za Črno goro (2h) - Mencingerjev dom (15min)

I agree with Rok, descent through rear window no child's play without self-belay set.
