On Saturday, four off-trail hikers set out on the first round of the RMK, from Robanov Kot over Črni Hriber to Ut and then across the Krofička ridge to the summit, from Krofička down the hunter's path to Klemenča jama:

There are no special features on the path, except that one has to find the right little paths and at the jump on the hunter's path the rope is tied with string, but it's better to rely on some good natural hold.

The weather was forecasted just right, not too hot for ridge walking; we only hoped no thunderstorm would drench us. Luck was on our side, we were wet only from our own sweat, so we could drink the first round at Klemenča outside in the dry

WARNING! On the climbing path - training polygon for ferratas - at Gonžarjeva peč the cables are quite loose and the 8th anchor according to the logbook is pulled out, the watermelon-sized rock is held up only by the drill glue.

A week ago today four pathless hikers did the first RMK round. Igor successfully led the trip, reached the top and drank beer in the valley

On Tuesday the four musketeers went to see the larches along the 1st round:
Robanov Kot - Črni hriber - Ute - Krofička ridge - Krofička - down the hunting path to Klemenča jama. Wonderful sun and perfect angle of sun rays created a real autumn fairy tale

After a long time on Saturday again at sunrise on Grintovec. Although the sun was shyer this time, the experience is still unique

No more snow on the path. Below the ridge of Planjava several fresh avalanches, so caution is advised.

Hi, ziki. First, I apologize for replying so late, but I don't follow this forum regularly. I agree that perhaps the more correct name would be "Ute - hut where Roban's shepherd used to live", however the mentioned hut is indeed owned by Franc Roban as well as a large part of Krofička, Ojstrica and Križevnik. This is his land, covering about 560 hectares, of which one third is usable, the rest is inaccessible or rocky.

But thanks for the info about the inscription on the larch beam in Matkova hut, this must not be forgotten.

Nice and congrats! The third round really has lots of loose rocks, that's why it's called Hudi prask but you can make up for it all by lounging at Matkova krnica

Looks like five is the fairy-tale number for the RMK path, because yesterday five hill-climbers again rushed on the third round from Okrešelj over Hudi prask and over Latvica to Krnička gora and down the lower path to Matkov Kot. This round is technically the most demanding, the hardest part is the right entrance to Hudi prask, where we used belay. We could have gone left too, but we stuck to the original path description and spiced up the tour that way. And that's exactly why we came, to do a bit of climbing We also hit some snow, but none in the difficult parts, it gave us lots of winter fun though

This Saturday five curious off-trail hikers set out again on the second round of RMK, where we reached the highest Rjavški vrh. This time we met some hikers in Grlo and one on Rjavški vrh. Otherwise the grasses in Grlo were slippery, no other peculiarities. For walking on the scree it was just right cloudy weather, but the sun always came to greet us during snack

This Saturday we completed the second round of the RMK: this time from the hut at Klemenča jama to Rjavški vrh, down through Grlo and back up through Pasje sedlo to Okrešelj. Technically not demanding, abandoned tracks are nicely followable, only it was quite slippery on wet grasses from morning dew down Grlo.

The "path" offers exceptional views of Logarska Dolina that can't be seen elsewhere. Rjavški vrh is nothing special, but below it has the lushest cirque in the whole Logarska Dolina. Even though it was the weekend, I met no one, except of course at the huts. Tour for the soul

I was looking for the start of the route via pathless terrain to Križevnik already 14 days ago and told myself I had to repeat it soon before the traces fade in my head. So I tried again this Sunday. In the descriptions I had, it said the path is well visible, but you still need some imagination. I apparently had too little, because I didn't see the abyss beside the "path" So I got lost twice and once ended up in a dead-end gully from which I abseiled back. When I was about to turn back, my imagination kicked in again and I saw the path I turned around, traversed a bit further, went up and suddenly found myself on scree, then on grass, easier terrain always… and finally turned left at the top of the Križevnik wall to the summit. I returned via Veliki vrh to Molička planina back to Robanov Kot.
The quite wild exploration of the Križevnik wall ended pleasantly
