Yesterday we went to the hut at Triglav Lakes (from Planina Blato). It was super. We saw that we don't have such bad fitness as we thought.
Of course, Triglav can wait. But Triglav was the initial incentive that brought us to the mountains. Now we love them so much we can hardly wait for the next trip. Sooner or later we'll be fit for Triglav too. Until then lots of exploring our wonderful mountains awaits us.

Sad that seeking information or a nice debate with useful tips turns so stupidly into sterile polemic. Still, sincere thanks to all those who told me something useful, it really came in handy. I hope you'll continue to help me a bit, even though I'm a little helpless being who doesn't know the mountains...

Just a question for Matija S.: two days for Krn? Here on the website I read approx. 3 hours walk from Kuhinja Valley...

Big thanks to all for numerous replies and useful advice (just didn't understand sense of Flapho's post in my thread… maybe better open another thread?).
I myself was already decided not to go to Triglav, but boyfriend insisted because he lives 600 km away and has only two weekends coming up to Slovenia, so wanted to use them for Triglav. Anyway I'll let him read your contributions so he understands better to postpone our Triglav ascent indefinitely. But I'd like to focus a bit on trekking… What if go to hut at Triglav Lakes? Is that also strenuous path unsuitable for beginners? Friends advised Krn too, saying easy ascent. What do you say? Thanks again!
