Time flies and we with it. For the second time in a row, we'll run together to one of the most beautiful Slovenian peaks, Golica, which might be covered with narcissi exactly then, on May 28, 2011.

The run starts at 15.00 at the P'r Čop parking lot, finish at Koča na Golici (9.2 km, 640 m elev.). All participants will be well refreshed, receive bags with prizes and unique narcissi-motif medals, the best also wonderful unique trophies. More about the run at www.bmk.si.

All mountain, recreational runners and female runners of all ages from everywhere are invited to liven up Golica's slopes together that May Saturday afternoon. Bring supporters, family and friends, as a nice entertainment program will also be provided at the event area.
Registrations are already open, so boldly on!

Mountain and recreational runners, hikers, nature lovers, Golica and daffodils, young and old, in short all who enjoy sports, nature, fun and good company!

BMK – Club without borders will organize the first mountain run to Golica on April 27!

Start at 14:00, «down» at the parking lot of inn Pr Čop, finish «up» at Hut on Golica (length approx. 9 km - elevation gain 600 m.), where refreshment will also be provided after the medal ceremony. Upon arrival in the valley, the announcement of results and awards for the best will take place in the event tent. We will also provide recreation for other visitors and fans, as we organize a hike to the Hut at 12:30. For good atmosphere, crazy good music bands will take care of it both in the afternoon and evening, besides the guided program.

The run track is finally determined and marked!
With the help of Garmin GPSmap 60Cx the official length and elevation of the course is measured: 9200m and 640m elevation gain. The first kilometer is on asphalt, then continues on a hardened forest path that is also drivable by car. Of course during the run the entire track will be closed to traffic. At 7.5km the track turns onto a forest path that crosses some winter avalanche slopes. Winter has left some consequences there, so we ask for extra caution when running over individual mounds of earth and sand. The final 350m of the track is really hellish, as there are quite a few steps and the incline is not merciful at all. But no fear, it passes quickly even at the slowest pace Smile.

For the return to the valley you can choose any path, but we recommend the summer marked path.

POSTPONED TO 29 MAY 2010!

Due to unfavorable weather conditions the track is unfortunately still impassable, so on the planned date (27.4.2010) the event cannot be safely held. In addition to the date change, we have also postponed the opening of the event by one hour, namely to 13.00 (with the start of the hike at 13.30) and the start of the run at 15.00.
By then we can expect warmer weather and a longer day, and we hope that Golica will be white only with daffodils.

Unique, heartfelt awards,
for all runners, experienced and young!

The effort of all runners who will participate in our first mountain run to Golica will surely be rewarded. BMK members have prepared a full basket of diverse and beautiful awards for you.

All runners will receive unique, hand-made medals in addition to the "goodie bag", the best in individual categories will also get unique trophies (and more)! All year round, Planina pod Golico (more precisely the inn P'r Čop) will be adorned with two challenge cups. Train diligently, and maybe your name will be written there (we'll award them for absolute women's and men's time).

BMK members have another ace up our sleeve. Among all present runners we will draw the lucky winner of a SAGEM mobile phone, donated by CONDOR Plus d.o.o.
