Where there's a will there's a way and you, mountain lover, have proven it. There are probably many people facing similar problems, so it might be interesting if you wrote a bit about your eating habits, activities and maybe also how to handle when one finds oneself in a crisis. It would interest me too, although I don't have weight problems and don't know what it means to deny food and lose weight.

oh, all know-it-alls who desperately try to make the forum no longer serve its purpose - unfortunately. You could still get to Komna, even if it dumps 10m over the holidays and you can stay a day longer in the hut.
if you don't have answers that the topic suggests, why not skip it?
zlodej - about chewed topics better not. you're experienced mountaineer, but if we look your mountain range is narrowly focused on Bovec area and a bit over the border, and Triglav you look there then here. about these tours - same ones you write and repeat for years. it would be nice if you'd sometimes write about some new tour.
I am new here and believe me disappointed.....because I thoroughly checked the forum and topics, I realized that many who used to participate simply withdrew and I'm not surprised at all why.
if I were administrator I'd simply delete topics that don't touch the title.otherwise to those who constantly advertise and criticize I advise to open a forum titled praises and criticisms.....

To those who don't like this kind of New Year's Eve in the mountains, I advise to simply ignore the topic, let those who are interested speak up.
With your wise-cracking you're actually discouraging like-minded people from participating. One would think that people going to the mountains are tolerant and cheerful folks - but from this writing here I'd rather say it's more about intolerant grumblers. Get your heads together, only then will you contribute to people happily visiting this forum.
Just courageously come forward with suggestions where for New Year's Eve in the mountains.

Turbo, it seems a bit inappropriate to throw everything into the same basket and say that all is smoked and drunk.
If people cheer up a little at the end of the year, nothing is wrong with that, especially if they don't drive a car afterwards.
Bivouacs can be interesting too, but much more complicated overall.
I'm sure the forum has people with positive experiences.
Each person decides for themselves how and what. If this kind of New Year's Eve doesn't suit you, turbo, you won't join. As for Santa, I'm sure his greatest gift is to climb into a snowy fairytale, spend a pleasant night, dance a bit, and return to the valley on the snowy landscape.

The new year is approaching ever closer, so we need to start thinking where and how to celebrate New Year's Eve. Those in the mountains have always been attractive, so I'm sure it will be the same this year too.
So let's share suggestions for New Year's Eve and your wishes. Maybe a small group will gather here to spend the longest night together in one of the mountain huts.
