Hochkar is 1808 meter high peakon which a cross stands in the Ybbstal Alps. The peak is located 4 km south from the center of Lassing and 7 km east from the center of Palfau. The nearest mountain hut is Brunnecker Hütte, located 4km northeast. A little further is Peterhütte (Jhtt.). The peak is located east-southeast of the valley Frenzgraben.
