Rainerhorn is 3559 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 1.7 km east-southeast of peak Großvenediger. The nearest mountain hut is Defreggerhaus, located 2km south. A little further is Ofneralm. 4 km southeast from the summit there is glacier Garaneberkees, 4 km east-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Kristallwandkees. The peak is located south-southwest of the valley Gschlößtal.
