Deneck is 2433 meter high peak with a registration box and a cross located in the Lower Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 4 km south from the center of Sankt Nikolai im Sölktal and 12 km south-southwest of Donnersbachwald. The nearest mountain hut is Kaltenbachalm, located 2km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac St. Nikolai am Sölkpass Ort. The peak is located east-northeast of the valley Rantengraben.
