Östliches Dirndl is 2818 meter high peak and is part of the Dachstein Mountains. The peak is located 6 km north-northwest from the center of Ramsau am Dachstein and 7 km north from the center of Vorberg. The nearest mountain hut is Seethalerhütte, located 0.4km west-northwest. bivouac Modereck is also relatively close. 1.2 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Schladminger Gletscher, 1.9 km west-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Großer Gosaugletscher. South of the summit is the valley Preunegg.
