Schönkarlspitze is 2349 meter high peak located in the Lower Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 6 km southwest from the center of Sankt Nikolai im Sölktal and 10 km north from the center of Hintermühlen. The nearest mountain hut is Bräualm, located 4km northeast. A little further is Hubenbaueralm. The peak is located northeast of the valley Rantengraben.
